Dountland is a Marion/Cedar Rapids staple! No one can touch their donuts! They're the perfect mix of cakey and light. If you love donuts, you understand. They have been in business for well over 40 years and still remain a very popular place among the locals. They have coffee offerings as well. The staff is always happy and welcoming. Many times knowing their customers/regulars by name. They do have a small inside area to enjoy your cup of Joe and donuts or take a box to go. They usually sell out pretty quickly On the weekends so don't wait too long. I'm an old fashion girl, my daughter of course likes the sprinkle and cherry. Our tradition for birthdays is morning donuts so while visiting we stopped by for a bakery's dozen for our birthday boy. You won't be disappointed.

If you're not from around the area and are looking for quality donuts, then you MUST visit Donutland. Coming here for the first time is like a right of passage as a local. I have many memories as a child coming to this donut shop, seeing the old men sitting around at the tables with a pot of coffee and donuts and it's still the same. The donuts are just amazing! They are cake donuts, made here. This is a small local business who knows how to make quality donuts! The cherry and blueberry are always a must, the sprinkles are a favorite of mine. All the donuts are amazing and you can't go wrong. The service is always friendly! Even when they are super busy and a line is out the door. We moved away from Cedar Rapids and are back visiting and this is always a must on our trips. Do skip on Donutland! Go early because when they sell out, they are out. They open at 6 am on the weekends and 5 during the week. My inner child and belly are happy!!!

Not for this location but the one over on se side of town. It was early and they had no cherry donuts, really the only reason I go to donutland... the angel that came from the back with donuts let us know that they had cherry donuts but we're still cooling in the back. I got 3 of the warm cherry donuts. We gobbled up 2 of them in the parking lot like starving dogs. It was a moment in my wife and is life we will never forget. It was the absolute best donut I've ever had in all my life. Definitely one of the best things I've ever eaten!! I heard Alton Brown wept when eating a Paula's Donut and I thought what a drama monger... this must have been what he felt like. I challenge Alton brown to not have the same reaction eating a warm cherry donut from donutland!!

My husband grew up on Donutland donuts, and every time we visit family in Iowa, we get donuts at Donutland! Love their cake donuts, especially their cherry, orange, blueberry, and chocolate old fashioned :) Friendly employees. Dependably stellar donuts, have never gotten a stale one. Tastes amazing dunked in milk or coffee.
